DESCRIPTION:Dear PZAS family\, \nOur Zoroastrian House celebrates its 12th Anniversary in April. After 3 years of not being able to celebrate this Face to Face\, this year we are once again having our JASHAN and GAMBHAR to celebrate this event. \nCome join us on Sunday 16th April 2023 at our Zoroastrian House \nProgram : \nSunday 16 April 2023 Jashan at 9.30am \nWe welcome all who have had their Navar ceremony to participate in the Jashan. Please email us if interested. \n10.30 am: Jashan fruits to be served. If you would like to bring malido or ravo for the jasan\, we would be delighted. Please contact us for numbers. \n11am: A talk by a very illustrious guest speaker Dr. Shernaz Cama.\nDr. Cama is the Director of the UNESCO Parzor Project for the Preservation & Promotion of Parsi Zoroastrian Culture & Heritage.\nShe is also the Curator of our Museum. \nThis will all be followed by a sumptuous Ghambar lunch\, cooked in-house.\nAs always this is a FREE Event.\nAll donations are welcome as it goes towards the upkeep and continuity of our Zoroastrian House. You can make donations via Paynow\, Cheque\, or just put in a cash donation in the Kathi Box if you want to stay anonymous. \nPlease RSVP by 12 April 2023 as we need to cater for lunch and want to make sure that we can feed everyone well. SUMMARY:Jamshedi Navroze - 26th March 2023
DESCRIPTION:After our last Parsi New Year function in September 2022\, our members were thrilled to join our maskless Jamshedi Navroz lunch function after a gap of three years. This lunch was planned for 26th March 2023 at the ballroom of the Singapore Island Country Club (SICC)\, overlooking the golf course. \nIt was a wonderful sunny afternoon and members arrived with their families\, women in their gorgeous colourful gara and kor sarees\, kids in their cute party dresses and men looked dapper in dagli. Members eagerly mingled and wished one another longing to meet and greet their friends\, while wine\, chicken tikka and samosas flowed freely. \nThe function was emceed by committee member Natasha Karanjia. She started with calling the children who were eagerly waiting to start the prayer recital with Ervad Percy Khambatta. Then President Burzeen Driver briefed members on the events of 2022 and then he introduced his committee. Two adorable new born babies from the Daruwalla and Antia family received Ang pao from PZAS and then all children under eighteen excitedly lined up to collect theirs. \nAs soon as ‘Jamva Chaloji’ was announced our foodie members lined at the big buffet counter to devour the delicious spread of soup\, salads\, fried rice\, chicken kung pao\, mutton rendang\, thai curry\, fish in lemon sauce\, and desserts. All in all it was a lovely afternoon well spent with family and friends.

DESCRIPTION:A farewell breakfast was organised by PZAS on 22 January 2023 to bid adieu to our members Jasmine and Ervad Zubin Dastoor who planned to move to Chicago after 18 years of living in Singapore. Ervad Zubin had been praying at Jashans\, Sunday prayers\, Muktaadand very active members of PZAS. \nA delicious khatto mitho mutton kheemo was catered in house by amazing cooks and Committee members Monira Bhada and Natasha Karanjia. Hormuz Arvari demonstrated his culinary skills cooking creamy scrambled eggs served with bread\, butter\, jam and tea. Member Vidya Vasania brought in home baked delectable brownies and another member Paurus Nekoo brought mouth-watering creamy ravo. After a delectable breakfast PZAS felicitated the Jasmine and Zubin for their services with a souvenir of Singapore from Royal Selangor. \nThis event was well attended by over seventy members who broken heartedly bid farewell to Jasmine and Zubin wishing them the best for their move.

SUMMARY:Christmas Event
DESCRIPTION:Christmas event Dec 2022: Christmas is always a time for Fun and Frolic\, and a time to get together with friends to eat\, drink and be Merry. PZAS members were looking forward to this last event of 2022 happily welcoming 2023 with relaxing of covid rules in by the govt of Singapore. On 10 December 2022 PZAS members celebrated Christmas. \nKids looked forward to receiving gifts from Santa and Christmas sugar cookies sponsored by Homiyar and Vidya Vasania.\nSince no Parsi celebration is complete without laughter food and drinks\, this event was no different. There was soo much delicious food that some member even took home leftovers. Thinly sliced ham and turkey\, chips and nuts followed by spread of scrumptious shepherd’s pie\, mouth-watering baked bean\, mayo and chutney salad\, crispy buttery garlic bread\, flavoursome noodles\, vegetable cutlet\, delectable impossible meat bake dish followed by boozy Christmas fruit cake filled everyone’s tummies. This event was also catered in-house by super talented committee members Benaifer Nilgiriwalla\, Hormuz Avari\, Natasha Karanjia\, Monira Bhada. \nOver eighty members attended this much awaited PZAS Christmas party to bid farewell to 2022.
